Researchers recorded the monkey’s brain activity, predicted the pattern of locomotion, and sent the signal from the motor commands of the animal to the robot.
We found that certain neurons in multiple areas of the brain fire at different phases and at varying frequency, depending on their role in controlling the complex, multi-muscle process of motion,” said senior research investigator Nicolelis.

Found this interesting fun news today, actually it’s not so new. But i know some of you guys out there still doesn’t know this right?

The mecha version of the Nissan DUALIS SUV designed by anime creator/mecha designer Shoji Kawamori (Macross) has been spotted in Tokyo. The 3.5 meter tall machine was displayed at the Nissan Gallery (Ginza) from May 23 to June 13 and at the Sony Building (Ginza) from June 25 to July 1. Watch the videos here:
“Its high roofline allows for a roomier cabin.the high-seating position gives occupants more legroom, but the designers have deliberately made the driving position more car-like.”

“Which one right? Which One Not?”

Do you know Microsoft researchers are working on a MIND-READING SYSTEM — hardware and software that can “interface directly with the human brain.” The company’s R&D department has figured out how to use a “low-cost electroencephalograph” for “detecting specific forms of brain activity.” Research papers associated with the project say that “knowing the state of the user as well as the tasks they are performing may provide key information that would allow us to design context sensitive systems that adapt themselves to optimally support the state of the user.” The technology might also “know the precise intention of a user who searches for an ambiguous term.” Sound interesting huh!
